

A proud veteran of the United States Marines, Robert exemplified dedication and honor throughout his life. He married his beloved wife, Bonita, in 1956, and together they had five children. His steadfast Catholic faith was central to his identity; he found great joy in attending Mass and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus. His devotion to his faith guided him in all aspects of his life and inspired those around him.
Robert is survived by his children: Linda Quick (Charlie Quick, deceased), Rick Wilson and his wife, Jody, Steve Wilson and his wife, Cathy, and Phil Wilson and his wife, Kathy; his cherished 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Jim Wilson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Wilson; daughter, Anne Hendrickson (Russ Hendrickson, still living); and brothers, Ralph Wilson and Marion Wilson, and will be reunited with them in eternal rest.
Known for his unwavering love for his family, Robert’s presence brought comfort and strength to those who knew him. He lived a life of quiet dignity and passed away as he lived—surrounded by the family he held so dear.
A visitation will be held on February 26, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO. A funeral will be held on February 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 9020 E 51st Terrace, Kansas City, MO.
