Robert Fredrick Zimmerman, 93, passed away March 18, 2014. He was born the son of Henry and Lydia (Karl) Zimmerman. He was a member of Community Christian Church, and faithfully attended vesper services at Foxwood Springs after he could no longer attend his church. He retired from Proctor & Gamble where he had worked his entire work career and was a member of the Proctor & Gamble Retirees.
Bob was a people person. He lived his life by a poem that ended “count me as one who loved his fellow man.” His friends, family and church relied on him to serve them. He loved to travel in the United States and was a history and geography enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time woodworking, watching Lawrence Welk and Wheel of Fortune, working puzzles, cooking and gardening.
Bob married Helen Grim and had two daughters. Later he met and married the love of his life Nancy who he loved more than anything on earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, and daughter Patty. Robert is survived by his daughter Jan (Daryl) Standafer, four grandchildren and their spouses and 11 great-grandchildren.
