He was born February 4, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He married Anna Marie Obermeyer, with whom he had two loving children. Dean Riedel (Cathy), of Kansas City, MO and Joanna MacDonald (David) of Charlottesville, VA. He has 7 loving grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In 1993 he married Sandra Gadd Keene, whom he shared life with for many years.
He spent 30 years in banking, then 25 years in the window treatment business. He was an avid golfer, still playing up until his last few months of life.
Ron lived a full and rich life, staying active physically, socially and spiritually. His life was immersed in his various communities that he loved: Sterling Plaza, where he lived, the Kansas City Metro Men's Chorus, and especially his church, Timothy Lutheran Church. He was a loyal and devoted servant of God, which he modeled daily to his friends and family. He was dearly loved and will be missed here on this earth.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant”
