Rosemary Wanjiru Bichage, 54 of Kansas City, Missouri, USA died on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Kansas University Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Central United Methodist Church, 5144 Oak Street, Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 at the church. Burial will be in Kisii Cemetery, Kisii, Kenya.
Rosemary was born May 18, 1954 in Embu, Kenya to Albert and Cecilia (Wanjira) Nyaga. Rosemary came to Kansas City after being injured in the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi for medical treatment. In addition to her father, Rosemary was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters in Kenya. Rosemary’s survivors include her husband of 30 years, Chris Bichage; one son, Robert Bichage; three daughters, Moraa Bichage, Linda Ogake Bichage and Jeanette Bichage, her mother and two brothers and two sisters.
