Rosemary was born Jan.7, 1930 to John and Grace (Quinn) Foley in K.C.,KS. She passed away March 18, 2021 at age 91. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Jackie Boyle and Carol Campbell. Rosemary is survived by her two sons, Kevin and Michael; daughter-in-law, Maureen Zupanec; granddaughter, Katy Grimsley and her sister, Colleen Brull.
Rosemary graduated from Bishop Ward HS and then Sarashon Hooley Business College. Her first adventure into the business world was with City National Bank. In 1953 she married her high school sweetheart, Gene. Their first two years of marriage were spent in Washington, D.C. where their first son, Kevin was born. Upon returning to KC she went into Marketing Research. She then gave birth to their other son, Michael. She later found a job she loved, selling cosmetics at Swansons on the Plaza. She later quit Swansons and went to work with Gene in their wholesale business.
Rosemary and Gene travelled the globe: Africa, Russia and China, to name just a few. They set foot on 6 continents, sailed the 7 seas, and travelled all 50 states as well. After seeing the world, they bought a place at the Lake of the Ozarks where they enjoyed many of their retirement years and entertaining their family and friends. After that, they settled back into KC and enjoyed the lazy life.
Visitation from 1-4pm will be held at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel on Sun., March 28th. Mass of Christian Burial 10am on Mon., March 29th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 7009 Blue Ridge Blvd., KCMO. Entombment following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bishop Ward High School Zupanec Endowment Fund.
