Russell C. Harris, Jr., 81, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on February 2, 2011. He was born on January 12, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Russell C., Sr. and Fontella (Martin) Harris. Russell graduated from Blenheim Grade School and then Southeast High School in 1947. Mr. Harris went on to KU, graduating with a BA in 1954. He was an Eagle Scout, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a lifetime Ambassador of Tebala Shrine in Rockford, Illinois. Russ worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for many years. Later, he happily worked part time as a Courtesy Van driver for Superior Toyota. Special thanks to the Superior people that made his days so meaningful. Mr. Harris was a loving husband, father of four, grandfather of six and great grandfather to one. Going on a Canadian fishing trip with his boys was one of his favorite things.
