Shari Petra Severeid, 55, Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away July 27, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza. Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road with Funeral services at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1. Shari was born February 20, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of Pete and Doris (Bly) Carrasco. She was self-employed real estate appraiser with Severeid & Assoc. She later worked for Missouri Dept. of Transportation. Shari’s favorite past-time was spending time at their lake house with family, friends, and pets. She is survived by her mother Doris Akin of Independence, Missouri; husband Ed Severeid of the home; sons James Severeid and Ryan Severeid, both of Kansas City, Missouri; brother Robert and wife Phyllis Carrasco of Leavenworth, Kansas; and sisters Sheila and husband John Grogan, Sharon and husband Chris Nernlund of Palm City, Florida, and Debi Moore of Kansas City, Missouri.
