She graduated from the University of Texas in 1993 (Phi Beta Kappa) and later earned her Master’s degree from UMKC. She was always active as a leader throughout her life. She was involved in student council, Sigma Delta Tau sorority, planning high school reunions, and her children’s school activities. Her curious, inquisitive, and persistent spirit led to many close and life-long friendships.

She took tremendous pride in raising their two beautiful daughters, Ali and Gracie, who were the absolute joys of her life. Their happiness and success is what mattered most to her and helped sustain and give her strength. Her girls will carry on her kind, thoughtful, and loving spirit.

She was deeply interested in whoever she was talking to, asking question after question to better understand who they were.
