

Terry Paul Thompson, 75, of Scottsdale, Arizona passed away on April 14, 2022. Terry was born March 13, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on the birthday of his father, Paul, who considered Terry his best birthday present ever. Terry’s mother, Geraldine, was a devoted fan of his athletics and was seen in the stands at most games.
As a boy he played baseball in the 3&2 and Van Johnson Leagues and Fast Pitch Softball. He graduated from Center High School in Kansas City in 1965 as vice president of his class. He excelled at football, baseball, basketball, and track and was awarded a scholarship to the Kansas State University football team where he played defensive back. He earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1969 and a law degree in 1972. In 1984, he moved south to Phoenix for warmer winters. Terry was known as an expert litigator at Allstate Insurance Company for over 33 years.
Terry is survived by his beloved partner in life, Hilarie Brown, his brother & sister-in-law Thomas and Donna and nephews Tyler & Tad Thompson and many cousins.
Terry and Hilarie spent many years exploring the world, creating loving special memories.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO on Thursday evening, May 26th, 2022 from 6 - 8pm.
Terry was an avid lover of animals and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue.
