Vida Mae Roth passed away November 25, 2015. She was born September 1, 1930 in Titonka, Iowa to Rufus and Myrtle Lindhorst. The fifth of six children, Vida was raised in Algona, Iowa. She later moved to California where she met and married Oscar Roth. Oscar and Vi relocated to Phoenix and moved to the Kansas City area in 1964.
Vida was a legal secretary by profession. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with family. Vida was predeceased by her husband Oscar, infant son James, her parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include children Terry Sparks (Donna), Tammy Stanfill (Harry), Darin Roth (Chris), grandchildren Stacie, Stephanie, Tim, Angie, Zachary and Henry, six great-grandchildren, all of the metro area; sister Maxine Platt and brother Jim Lindhorst, both of Algona, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. with Private burial to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the MS Society, 7611 State Line Rd., Ste. 100, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.
