Violet Marie (Weyler) Gibson, 84, of Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at home. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 11, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 7231 Mission Road, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208-3004. Mrs. Gibson was born September 15, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of Edward H. and Lilly Belle (Patrick) Weyler. She was a devout Catholic, who loved her faith. She sang in the USO during World War II. She is survived by her children Narron Gibson and wife Marianne, William Gibson, and Philip Gibson and wife Marsha; grandchildren Michael and wife Tracy, Joseph and wife Anna, Edward, Daniel and wife Nicolette, Timothy, Travis, William, and Teresa Gibson, David Cullivan and Kerri Cullivan; and eleven great-grandchildren Lily, Henry, Francie, George, Joanna, Peter, Zane, Mary, Alisa, Elaina, and Caroline.
