

Violet Hagenah Miller, 92, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2012 at Foxwood Springs. Visitation will be 12 – 1 p.m., Friday, January 4, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Violet was born in Cole Camp, MO to Fritz and Fredia (Kronke) Hagenah. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cole Camp. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Reinhardt and Rufus; sister, Wanita Miller; and her husband of 73 years, Elvin Ross Miller, who passed away December 16, 2011.
She is survived by her son, E. Ross (Carol) Miller and daughter, Connie Ott, of Rockport Texas; five grandchildren: Shawn (Laurie) Miller, Tyler Miller, Patrick (Amy Jo) Miller, Desre (Steve) Thompson, Kristine (Brian) Cole; eight great-grandchildren: Shawn Ross Miller, Paige Miller, Josie Miller, Jordan Thompson, Kailey Thompson, Sarah Cole, McKenna Cole, Jaron Cole and half-sister Rosalie Osborn of Ottawa, Kansas.
She joined her husband in their many business ventures and loved traveling with the Chief Winnebago Club throughout the United States, Mexico and Alaska. They also traveled across Europe. Violet was an excellent bookkeeper, seamstress, homemaker and hostess for all the family gatherings. She will be missed by her family and friends.
