

Wanda L. Herman, 77, of Mission, Kansas, passed away January 20, 2011. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, at the funeral home. Mrs. Herman was born September 23, 1933 in California, Missouri, daughter of Herbert and Bertha M. (Small) Brizendine. She lived with her aunt Mable and uncle Eben Pace with her two older sisters. She graduated from Collins High School. On March 11, 1951 she married Hubert L. Floyd, who preceded her in death August 1953. On February 9, 1963 she married Ivan D. Herman, who preceded her in death July 1996. She had worked for R.F. Fisher and retired from Dickinson Theatres after 20 years. She was a member of the WOMPI (Women of Motion Picture Industry) and was a Cub Scout leader. Mrs. Herman is survived by her children Marcella L. Vines and her husband Richard, Henry I. Herman and his wife Cheryl, and Leland E. Herman and fiancée Tracey Hopper; grandchildren Hollie Roberts, Heather Duffy (Dan) and Heidi Hart (Shannon); seven great- grandchildren; and her loving granddogs and grandkittens. She is also survived by her sisters Velma L. Lear and her husband Stanley, and Nellie M. Haufle; sister-in-law Sylvia (Herman) Bryant and her husband Charles; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Condolences may be made at www.mtmoriah-freeman.com.
