He served in the military for over 20 years. During his time he served in the Navy as a hospital corpsman, a field medic in the Marines, and finally retired as a nurse anesthetist in the Air Force. Warren had an unwavering sense of integrity that was displayed throughout everything he did and his years of leadership in the military did not go unnoticed as he achieved the rank of Major when he retired.
Warren was a very spiritual man. He read from the bible, recited scriptures several times a week and loved reading the Daily Word every day.
He was also a man of many passions. One passion he discovered at a very young age was running. He ran throughout his high school years and continued well past his retirement until he could no longer walk. Running was therapeutic. It gave him peace of mind and provided clarity to life’s challenges and tribulations.
His other great passion was music. Music moved his soul and he was never afraid to show it. He often would break out in song during moments of silence or simply when someone would remind him of a song he loved. He was heavily involved with the alumni from Lincoln College Preparatory Academy and would DJ the reunion events along with family gatherings. He always felt compelled to share his love of music and that love now lives on within his children and all of the lives he touched.
He also enjoyed working with his hands ranging from woodworking projects, fixing cars, or the latest technology.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil R. Daniel and Blanche Daniel; brothers, Ralph Daniel and Delbert Daniel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Norma Daniel; brother Lloyd C. Daniel; children Quillona Forte, Cecil S. Daniel, Christina Daniel, Lloyd L. Daniel, Annabelle Cuenca, and Hector Mariano; grandchildren, close relatives and extended family.
