

Born on March 1, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri. Waymon grew up the middle son of Charles Joseph and Lorene (Baker) Hofheins who both preceded him in death, as did his older brother Donald Charles Hofheins Sr. of Sedalia, Missouri, the mother of Waymon's children, Anita (Mooneyhan) Obermeier of Sedalia, Missouri, and Waymon’s loving partner of 30+ years, Donna Rose of Overland Park, Kansas.
Waymon leaves his son, Edward Waymon Hofheins of Omaha, Nebraska; a daughter, Tammy Michelle (Eric) Trychon of Yorktown, Virginia; a granddaughter, Farra (Hofheins) McChesney, and one great-granddaughter, ZeQara McChesney. He is also survived by his younger brother, David Paul Hofheins, DO (Kathy) of Moses Lake, Washington; his sister-in-law, Kitty Hofheins (Don) of Sedalia, Missouri; one aunt, Mary Lue (Baker) Vick of Independence, Missouri; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and coworkers.
Waymon was very active in High School participating in several sports and clubs. In 1961 he graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia, Missouri. After high school, Waymon continued his education as he built a career and a lifetime of treasured memories.
1962-1965: Oklahoma Baptist University studying Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, and Physics.
1965-1966: The University of Oklahoma studying Chemistry, Microbiology, Analytical Chemistry, and Pharmacy. He was also active in Business and Graduate Level Science and Glass Blowing, as a fun course.
1966-1969: Waymon joined the US Marine Corps, specializing in Electronics. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant (E-5) and served during Vietnam.
1969-1970: He worked at General Electric/Phoenix, Arizona in computer training. He earned his certification as a Qualified Systems Analyst.
1971-1972: Butler University studying Graduate Level Statistics. He worked full-time in chemical research while attending night school.
1972-1974: University of Central Missouri, Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Business Statistics. His MBA Thesis discussed the difference between Science and Marketing personnel. He continued to study Business Economics while working full-time as a chemical consultant, applying his work in database development at General Electric. He also applied statistics from his work at Standard Brands Foods as a demonstration of cost savings.
1980-1982: He served as the District Manager and Regional Manager, Mogul Division, Dexter Corporation Overland Park, Kansas and Arlington, Texas.
1982 - Present: Waymon founded and served as the President & CEO of Blue Valley Laboratories, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri. Blue Valley Laboratories manages industrial water treatment services over a six-state region for both sales and service staffs. He submitted a technical paper written about the chemistry of all the water treatment chemicals that are used, or might be used in the future, to the National Center for Toxicology Research and designed a flow control method for use in food processing. He is forever grateful for the years of dedication and trust from all his employees, friends, and associates.
Waymon loved the symphony and the great outdoors. He was a 32 Degree Mason in the Country Club Masonic Lodge No. 656, A.F & A.M., an Eagle Scout, Scout Leader, and a Micosay Tribesman. Waymon’s work is done.
