Born in Felicity, Ohio, on June 26, 1950, William was known for his humorous nature and his dedication to his family and career.
William was born to Max and Josephine Beard. Following the sudden passing of his father in 1953, William's family relocated to Quincy, Ohio, where he spent his formative years. He attended Riverside High School and graduated in 1968. Driven by a sense of duty, William pursued a career in the military, finally joining the Army in 1971 during the Vietnam War.
After his honorable discharge, William embarked on a career with Copeland Corporation in Sidney, Ohio. His professional journey later led him to General Motors, where he excelled as a manager of several car dealerships from Sidney to Dayton, Ohio. Due to health issues, William retired in the mid-1990s. Even in retirement, he remained active, enjoying fishing and watching sporting events, particularly as a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Reds.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Josephine Beard; and his brother, Albert Spaw.
He leaves behind his sons, Nicholas Beard and Jarrod Beard (Valorie); his granddaughter, Josephine (Joey) Beard; his sisters, Marsha Fahnestock and Carol Schulz; and his brother, Jim Spaw.
