William was born on June 22, 1944, in Massachusetts to William and Irene Hensen. He lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to God, his family, his career as an RN, and his profound love of Astronomy. William was known for being ornery, having a generous spirit, and his unwavering support for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanie and their children, Lisa, Andy, & Tiffany; his grandchildren, Desiree, Alex, Austin, Justin, Paesyn, Kingston, and David; his great-grandchildren, Adeline and Ellianna; his siblings, Dennis and his wife, Phyliis, Judy and her husband, Richard, and Donnie.
He was preceded in death by his children, David and Jennifer; his parents, William and Irene; and his siblings; Ronnie and Denise and his faithful dog, Liza.
A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home, 11924 East 47th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64133.Followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. A committal service with full military honors will occur Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, 20109 Bus-13Hwy, Higginsville, Missouri 64037 (660-362-6111).
