

William A. Morris, 68 of Kansas City, MO transitioned this life to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2015. Services will be held Friday, January 8th at McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd. KCMO. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Memorial service immediately following, Interment at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
William was born October 29, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Benjamin Morris and Pearl Elizabeth (Miles) Morris. William was interested in all aspects of transportation. When he was a young boy, he would imitate driving with a piece of cardboard for hours. As an adult, he was a Switchman/Brakeman for Santa Fe Railroad; a Bus Operator/Road Supervisor for KCATA; Bus Operator for Arrow Stage Lines where he drove college sports teams and as a limo driver where he drove many celebrities visiting Kansas City. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps.
William is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ben Morris and one sister Shirley Jean Fitch. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Deborah of 43 years; Four children and Ten grandchildren Michelle Morris (Terrance, Brittney, Shanae'), Kimberley Morris (Brandon, Brandi) Paul Morris(C'Niyha) and Tequella Morris (Mark, Michael, Charles, Yvonne); 6 great grandchildren, all of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Paul W. Morris (Marchita) of Las Vegas, NV and three sisters, Pearl Mitchell of Kansas City, MO, Marguerite P. Franks of Las Vegas, NV and Elizabeth A.
