William E. Rush, 93, of Kansas City, MO, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at his home surrounded by family. Graveside services with Military Honors will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO, followed by burial. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the McGilley Midtown Chapel. Bill was born Nov. 2, 1919 in Coffeyville, KS to Willliam Rush and Laura (Sullins) Rush. He became an electrician and was the owner of his own company. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was a member of DAV, E. Schumann Heink, Post 2. He loved the outdoors and fishing. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters. Bill's survivors include his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Fay Rush, of the home; one brother, Louie Rush, Aurora, CO; one sister, LaVerne Philips, Branson, MO; sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Headrick, Cocoa Beach, FL, and Helen Krause, Aurora, OR, and several nieces and nephews.
