Arla Kaye Baucum

Arla "Kaye" Baucum, a beloved longtime resident of Katy, TX, passed away on May 13, 2024, surrounded by her immediate family and dear friend, Sharon. Born on March 21, 1951, in Odessa, TX, she lived a life filled with compassion, adventure, and deep connections.

Kaye had one daughter, Jackie Che Ardoin, of whom she shared with her former husband, Jerry Baucum. Despite life's challenges, their love remained.

She adored her granddaughters, Devyn (Reggie Williams) and Kaylyn (Trevor Olson), who brought immense joy into her life. Her heart overflowed with love for her great-grandchildren, Shayleigh, Lori, Norie, and Layni, who filled her days with laughter and happiness.

Arla found delight in exploring the world, whether traveling to distant lands or cruising on her cherished motorcycle. Yet, her fondest moments were spent surrounded by family and friends, basking in their love and laughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jo Wittie and James Wittie, whose memories she cherished dearly.

Her legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she has left this world, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

At this time, service arrangements have not been arranged. Though she may be physically absent, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
