Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Friend, and Counselor of the Heart
Born and raised in the charming town of San Germán, Puerto Rico, Blanca Iris Santiago Rosas was a radiant soul whose light touched the lives of all who had the blessing of knowing her. A graduate of Lola Rodríguez de Tió High School, she later pursued her studies at the Instituto de Banca y Comercio, where she developed a strong work ethic and a sincere dedication to serving others—qualities that defined her both professionally and personally.
Blanca worked as a store manager in sales, where her natural warmth and kind spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. But her most cherished and honored role was that of mother, grandmother, and the heart of her family.
She was known lovingly as the counselor of the family—a source of unwavering support, heartfelt advice, and unconditional love. With a heart full of grace, she welcomed everyone with a smile, offering comfort, peace, and wisdom through her words and presence. Her deep faith in Jesus Christ guided her life, and she carried that faith with quiet strength and humility.
Blanca found joy in the everyday blessings: reading the Bible, praying, listening to music, watching TV, and especially talking with her children. Her favorite moments were those when all her children were gathered together—moments she treasured more than anything else. She loved to travel and found beauty in simplicity, never placing value on material things but instead on love, faith, and human connection.
She adored soft colors—especially lilac, purple, and white—which reflected her gentle and serene spirit. Blanca was affectionately known as the “Best Mom Ever,” a title she lived up to in every way.
Her beloved pets who she took care of—Princess, Coki, Puma, Pepper, Cleo, Luna, Hannah and Thor.—brought her joy and companionship, reflecting her nurturing heart and deep love for all living beings.
Blanca is survived by her loving children: Alex Aquino Santiago, Jonathan Aquino Santiago, Victor M. Peña Santiago, and Kathleen M. Peña Santiago. Brothers and sisters. She also leaves behind three adoring grandchildren, Jahziel Aquino, Analiz M. Aquino Vega and Sebastian Aquino who brought her endless pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Eithan Y. Pagan Peña, as well as her cherished parents, Johnny Santiago and Aurelia Rosas Fonseca. Though their absence was deeply felt, she carried their memory with her every day.
To know Blanca was to feel embraced, accepted, and loved. She filled every space with her beautiful presence, offered wisdom without judgment, and loved with a depth that was truly rare. Above all else, she loved Jesus and her four children with her whole heart.
She will be remembered always for her beautiful soul, her gentle strength, and her ever-present smile. Mami to everyone!
