Carmen Herod

She was born July 26, 1943 in Georgetown, Guyana to Stephen and Clotilda Gray. Carmen was a longtime resident of the Katy area and worked as a home attendant and foster mother. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and young children.

Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolf Herod; sister, Joyce Lewis; brothers, Wilbur and Alfred. She leaves behind her sons, John Herod, Troy Herod, Dexter Herod, Dwayne Herod, Karl Herod, Kevin Herod and daughter Claudia Herod,brothers Charles and Arthur Gray and sisters, Gwenny and Tello; sister in law, Brenda Herod and children, Neal, Natasha, Maxine, and April; Grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Matthew, Sharon, Vanie, Alexa, Isabella, Alexis, Justin, Alessia, Jayden, Kristin, Josh, Johnny, Jayla, Vikash, Boye; 19 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will take place 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday February 1, 2019 at Katy Funeral Home. 23350 Kingsland Boulevard. Katy, TX. 77494

A funeral service will take place 3:00 PM Saturday February 2, 2019 at Katy Funeral Home with Chaplain Daniel Schramm officiating. Followed by a Catered Reception.
