Carolyn was born January 24, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri. She resided in Shawnee Mission, Kansas with her parents and twin brother Robert C. Craig II. Carolyn graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1958. She attended the University of Kansas, where she met and married her late husband Robert D. Ohmart in 1962. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Interior Design.
Carolyn supported Bob while he finished his time in the Army and then obtaining his Masters and PhD. In 1968, they moved to Ponca City OK., where they spent the next 17 years. In 1985, they moved to London England and returned to Katy, TX. In 1988 to spend many years together.
In 1972, her fraternal twins, Keith and Kimberly, were born. She was a dedicated mother and went above and beyond for their happiness.
Carolyn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1974 and it never slowed her down. Her interests included a variety of Women’s and dinner groups, an investment group, playing Bridge and Mahjong, traveling, needlepoint, jewelry making, listening to her Kindle, and happy hour.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, of 52 years. She leaves behind her 2 children and 3 grandchildren. Kimberly Meek and her husband Don and son David “DJ” Gibson of Katy, TX. Keith Ohmart and his wife, Tisha, and their girls Taylor and Regan, also of Katy, TX, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. On January 6, 2021, her twin brother passed away peacefully in Memphis, TN.
