

Charles Lee Watts passed away the early morning of December 29, 2015 at the age of 77. Charles was born in 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas to Middleton and Edna Watts. He graduated from Brazosport High School in 1957 and married the former Peggy Lucia Thibeaux on July 23, 1960 in Freeport, Texas at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Always one to share their time with family and friends, Charles and Peggy recently moved back to Katy, Texas from Lufkin. There they continued to enjoy making friends and sharing their time together with family and neighbors. Charles was always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need and he was especially aware of the needs of his family. Towards the later years of his life, he was always greeting small children. It was his way of sharing his happiness with others and expressing his overflowing love to all.
Charles is survived by his wife of 55 year, Peggy Watts, his two daughters, Debbie Allen and her husband Matthew of Round Rock, TX and Donna Lowry and her husband Mike of Pearland, TX; two sons, David Watts and his wife Joyce of Katy, TX and Darrin Watts and his wife Carleen of Georgetown, TX; ten grandchildren; his sister, Velma Groves of Jones Creek, TX and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A vigil and reception will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Friday, January 1, 2015 at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, TX with Deacon John Evanoff presiding at 5:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2015 at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, 1530 Norwalk Drive, Katy, TX at 9:00 am. Father Thomas Joseph will preside, assisted by Deacon John Evanoff. Grave site service will be at Restwood memorial Park, 1038 West Plantation Drive, Clute (Lake Jackson), TX at 1:00 pm with Monsignor Leo Wleczyk presiding.
