Jane was one of the most precious, kindest, sincere and loving women I have known. My mother Paula and she were such wonderful friends as far back as I can remember. I am so sad to hear of her passing and I know my mother was there with her arms outstretched waiting for her dear friend. 

I have so many memories of the two of them laughing - and all the stories my mother shared with me of their lunches and adventures together.

Jeff, Kevin and Daniel, please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved Jane, on behalf of the Farmen Family.  Julee was especially blessed that Jane was a good friend to her for so many years.  She had so much love and admiration for Jane, who returned every bit of that with a big heart, kindness, and mutual support.  

We both had so many fond memories watching our youngest sons play sports, grow, and mature together.  I truly appreciate your deep sense of loss.  I know it is hard to accept.  I will keep the Yates Family my thoughts and prayers.  May God comfort you !

I met Jane when we first moved to South slake Landing in 2001.  Always smiling and laughing and s kind word!   She could always be found waking around the lake or the neighborhood.  Her smile was infectious, she will truly be missed!  

The first time I met Jan, yes I called her Jan, I thought she introduced herself as “Jan”. It was a long time before I found out her name was actually “Jane”. She never corrected me and let me and my entire family fondly call her “Jan”. That is the kind of person she was, unpretentious, sweet and  loving. She was also strong, feisty and a whole lot of fun. We shared many dinners, birthdays, holidays and weddings together, not to mention all those years sitting together at basketball and football games.  We were like family and we loved her as such. Jan was a talented athlete (basketball) in her youth and such passed that on to her boys!!  She had beautiful portraits of her wedding in her home and I would always comment about how beautiful she was to which she always responded “ no, no,no!”   She was so very proud of Daniel and Kevin and I am thankful she had time with her beautiful grandson Wyatt. I and my family loved you Jan, we are heartbroken you have left us, we pray for you and will be here for Jeff, Kevin and Daniel. Rest In Peace my dear friend, you will forever be in my heart.

Mom loved Wyatt and I’m so happy she got to meet him. She would hold him for hours and none of us had the heart to tell her to put him down in his crib because we were starting to sleep train him. I loved watching her with him.
