David was born in San Antonio, Texas to Jacob and Ramona in 1951. He met his wife in 1974, and they married in 1976.
A friendly, gregarious man, David could often be found grilling or listening to music on KPIG radio station. He always had a kind word and a dry, humorous quip for any occasion.
He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Michael and Jaclyn, his sisters Sarah Heye, Hilda Valdez and Rebecca Blackburn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
