Eileen K. Debes

Eileen K. Debes passed away peacefully on Sept 6, 2022 in Katy, Texas. Her family was by her side during her last days. Eileen was born on May 10, 1927 in Beaumont, Texas to Abraham and Rose Kattawar where she lived most of her life. In 2002 she moved to Katy to be closer to her daughter.

Eileen married Johnnie Debes in 1953. She was a loving and devoted wife and wonderful mother to their children. Johnnie passed away in 1986. Eileen was active in her church, faith, loved gardening, traveling, reading and enjoyed Blue Bonnet trips. Throughout her later years in Katy, she found a devoted group of friends that loved playing cards and dominoes and going to lunch. Eileen was blessed to be able to maintain her independence, driving, cooking and managing her life until her last few weeks.

Eileen is survived by her children, Dana Debes Palladino, son-in-law Michael, David Debes, daughter-in-law Colleen, two amazing grandsons, Daniel and Kevin Debes, sister-in-laws of 69 years Arlene Gallagher and Elaine Ferrill, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Eileen will be held Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, KATY, TX 77494. A graveside service will occur Monday, September 12, 2022 from 2:00 PM at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine St., Beaumont, TX 77703. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Orthodox Church, 10644 Hammerly Blvd, Houston, TX 77043.
