Wow, wasn't I lucky to have had such a fantastic fun loving Aunt.  I am really going to miss you.  We had such a good time and laugh together.  

I was lucky enough to be introduced to the Texan culture (nothing else like it around!) by you and Steven and did we giggle as certain Texan things were explained and translated to me. (guns stentsons, cowboy boots, rapid riding, armadillos y'all, the police etc!) It certainly was an eye-opener and there are things there that I shall never forget and are embellished in my heart.

You were the Aunt that was cool and trendy, a product of the swinging 60's  and someone I aspired to.  You made me feel special whenever I visited. I loved your sense of humour, the endless stories that you told, the chatter.  You were quite the character and so proud of your English heritage even though you told me that as a young girl you had always said that you were going to end up living in America which you also loved. Whenever I came over you always said 'I haven't lost my English accent have I Sarah?" 'No Helen" I would always say 'you still sound very English' 

I  have so many wonderful memories of you, Mandy and Lisa together here and in the U.S. I was introduced to yours and Andy's local, the quintessential English Pub with a game of darts too. I've never played darts before and never played since. How fantastic was that!

I am so going to miss you and still can't quite believe that you've left us so quickly, but that's you down to the tee always full of surprises! Rest in peace my beautiful Aunty Helen.

I am really going to miss you, all the talks we use to have and the great friend you were to me.  R.I.P. my friend.

I have known Helen since we were 19 and a lot has happened in our lives since then but Helen has never changed, always ready to laugh, always fun! It is such a sad loss for all who knew and loved her.  I will really miss our long chats.

Rest in peace my very dear friend Helen. We grew into adulthood together, causing havoc at school. You were always so full of life, always laughing, so brave and strong, so caring. I feel blessed to have shared a part of your life. My memories of you will live on until we meet again.

Lisa and Mandy, I know words can't express how hard and sad this time must be for you and my heart and prayers go out to you. When I think of Helen, my thoughts return to the times when we were young and Lisa and I would be on the phone talking about our problems. I can hear Helen now in the background giving me sound advice and making sense of the world. I also have many fond memories of us running around as kids and your mom affectionately calling us “little monsters” in her English accent. It's a much sadder world without your mom in it but I hope a piece of her will live on in the cherished memories I have of her.

I had the pleasure to grow up under Helen's direction.  I loved hearing her tell us girls how "proper" young ladies act.
 I know I will never be "proper", Helen, but I know that you still taught me plenty and I know you brought up two of the most amazing Ladies in Mandy and Lisa. Thank you so much for being in my life, introducing me to shepard's pie and telling me all of your stories. I enjoyed our long talks and will cherish those memories always.  Love you.

Helen, I will cherish and hold close all the sweet memories we made over the years. You were a true lady in every since of the word. Intelligent, understanding, entertaining, and, yes, very outspoken. All of which made up our Helen. You were absolutely one of my favorite people.You made me laugh and we had such good times whenever you were there.Your dry wit and humor were unmatched.I considered you a dear friend,not jsut a customer.We had some amazing spiritual talks you and I so I know you are at peace and in the arms of our Lord.There will an empty place where you used to sit but I know I will see again.

You mean the world to me and I love you more than words could ever say. I feel so blessed that we were able to have the last 3 weeks with you. You are the most unselfish, loving, kind and beautiful person I have ever met. I will strive to be a better mom because of you and continue to pass on your traditions to your grandkids. I will miss you every day of my life, but I know that you will always be with me.  I wish we could play one more game of Ludo together and watch one more Masterpiece show.
