

Jacquelyn Yvonne Price-Franklin was born on September 29, 1973 to Jessie Lee Price and Elizabeth Price Bailey in Houston, Texas. Jacquelyn passed from this life to her new home in Heaven on Monday, January 22, 2018.
Jacquelyn was a born-again Christian who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be remembered as a beautiful and loving child that became an adoring and dedicated wife. Through her marriage union she became known as the "Best Mommy" to her two surviving sons, Frederick Anthony Franklin, Jr and Tristen Jacobie Franklin of Katy,Texas. Her proudest family moment was seeing her two sons excel and exemplify great pride and dignity in what they do.
Jacquelyn was a dedicated scholar of Education. She graduated from Morgan City High School in Morgan City, Louisiana in 1991. Thereafter, she went on to study and acquire her Bachelors Degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1996. Then, she acquired two Master's Degrees in Education. She loved to teach and loved her students. She never let them settle for less. She always did her best to get the most out of every student. Jacquelyn's proudest career accomplishment, "When I can take low performing students and teach them to get to the performance level they are supposed to be on or above."Jacquelyn retired as an Elementary Educator in Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District. Her last teaching assignment was at Duryea Elementary.
She pledged Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.'s Omega Eta Chapter of The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in the Spring of 1993. Her most outstanding position was that of Chapter President. She will be dearly missed by both her sorority, as well as, her fraternity brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Jacquelyn leaves to cherish her memories: her father, Jessie Lee Price of Houston, Texas; her mother Elizabeth Price Bailey (Willie John Bailey) of Brookshire, Texas; Father in law, Chester (Cynthia) Ramagos, Sr of Morgan City, Louisiana; Mother in law, Connie (Carlos) Bias of Morgan City, Louisiana; two sisters, Vanessa Bailey of Houston, Texas and Katherine Price of New Iberia, Louisiana; two brothers, Joseph Price of Alexandria, Louisiana and Elliott Jayson Price of Houston, Texas; her two sons; Frederick Anthony Franklin, Jr and Tristen Jacobie Franklin; and her husband of fifteen and a half years, Frederick Anthony Franklin, Sr. of Katy, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Korin Price; Paternal Grandparents: I.D. Price and Inita Hall; Maternal Grandparents: Rexman Jules Price and Josephine Augustine Price.
