James William Owens

James dedicated his career to serving his community with the Harris County Constables Office, Precinct 2. His commitment to his work and community was unwavering throughout his life.

On October 24, 1959, James married Peggy in Houston, Texas, and they shared 64 wonderful years together until her passing.

James had a passion for the Astros and loved to travel, which brought him great joy and many cherished memories.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Owens. James is survived by his son, Michael Owens, and daughter-in-law, Tracey Owens; his grandson, Mathew Young, and granddaughter-in-law, Katie Young; his great-granddaughter, Meadow Young; his granddaughter, Haylee Vinegar, and grandson-in-law, Corey Vinegar; and his great-grandson, Cassian Vinegar.

A memorial service will be held at Katy Funeral Home, located at 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas, on March 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
