Laurence Joseph Witte Jr.

Larry was born on January 16, 1939 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was a graduate of Lamar University where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega and the Cardinal Football Team. Larry worked as a Public Affairs Manager at Duke Energy until his retirement.

On June 11, 1967 he married the love of his life, Patricia (Patty) Tuminello, and on June 11, 2017 they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Larry's family was his most prized possession and he doted on his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play football, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and basketball. He was their #1 fan!

Larry was an amazing artist who loved to paint landscapes. He also contributed to many schools and organizations by donating his time and art work. In addition, he was an avid golfer. He was a member of the SMGA at Weston Lakes Country Club and played two to three days a week with his golf "buds". Larry served his country and is a veteran of the Air National Guard.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Harriette and Laurence Joseph Witte Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patty; son Trey Witte and his wife Amy; daughter Kerrie Steger and her husband Matt; grandchildren Parker and Lauren Witte, and Kaleb and Cameron Steger; brother Kenneth Witte and wife Liz; and a host of other relatives and friends.
