Margarita Camba was born on June 10, 1944, in Los Sauces, Nayarit, Mexico, and entered eternal rest on December 4, 2025. A devoted Catholic, Margarita was a faithful parishioner of St. Cyril of Alexandria and lived her life guided by love, generosity, and service to others. She was a wife and mother by calling and by heart, married for 64 years to the love of her life, Julian Alatorre, whom she met at a dance in her hometown of Los Sauces. Together they built a life rooted in faith, partnership, and mutual devotion, always standing side by side and supporting one another in all they did.
Margarita never met a stranger and welcomed everyone with open arms. She always put the needs of others before her own, and caring for people brought her the greatest joy. Feeding others was one of her truest expressions of love, and there was always a seat at her table with a full plate waiting. She was known for her enchiladas, homemade tortillas, pozole, sopes, and her cherished capirotada. She loved mariachi music, dancing, sewing, cross stitch, and gardening, especially her beautiful bougainvillea with their vibrant colors. Margarita enjoyed traveling, most of all returning home to Los Sauces, Nayarit. She cherished Christmas, enjoyed shopping at the dollar store and clothing stores, collected small trinkets she found cute, and found happiness in simple pleasures such as fruit snacks, Panda Express, Arizona green tea, and taking a small sip of Coke from her husband Julian’s cup. Her beloved dog, Dulce, was always close by.
Margarita is preceded in death by her father, Lucas Camba; her mother, Bentura Camba; her sisters, Catalina Camba and Socorro Camba; and her brother, Lorenzo Camba. She is survived by her loving husband, Julian Alatorre; her eight children; twenty two grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a kind and generous woman who cared deeply for others, a devoted wife and mother, and a welcoming presence whose love, warmth, and selflessness touched everyone who knew her.
