Millie was born on August 9, 1951 to Charles and Mildred Gant in Houston, Texas. She grew up on the east side of Houston and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1970 where she met her husband Michael “Terry” Sharp. Together they raised a family in Humble, TX. Millie worked for many years as a special education teacher’s assistant in the public schools and passed on her love for education to her daughter and grandchildren.
Millie was a passionate, giving, and quiet person. She loved vacations and taking trips with her family and seeing different places around the world. She loved going to the movies, reading books, anything Disney, having lots of bling on clothing and shoes and she loved to decorate for Christmas! Millie had the greatest love for her family, especially her grandchildren and had tremendous pride for all the things her children and grandchildren accomplished in life.
Millie is survived by her former spouse, Terry Sharp and their two children: Michael Sharp II and his wife Ursula Wimberly Sharp, and Kimberly Dyann Sharp and her spouse Chantale Schrader, and her four grandchildren, whom she adored: Tyler Whitsett (27), Kaylee Whitsett (25), Renee Sharp (20), and Michael Sharp III (16). She is also survived and forever remembered by her older brother Charles Gant and his wife Marsha Collins Gant, her nieces, Melody Gant Payne, Katie Gant Harper (Bryce), Becky Gant Thornhill (Matt), great nephews Noah, Chandler, and Hayden, bonus grandchildren Kristen Romero (Darren), Courtney Schrader (Jack), Joshua Schrader (Bri), and bonus great grandchildren Lauren and Chael Romero.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents.
