Patty Lou Johnson Barrett was born in McVille, North Dakota on April 29, 1935. Patty grew up and attended schools in rural Tolna and LaKota, North Dakota. Patty moved to Texas in 1953 and lived in the greater Houston area until the time of her death on December 22, 2013. Patty was preceded in death by her parents Pearl and Louis Johnson, brothers Thomas, Sigurd, Oscar and Henry and sisters Inghild, Clara, Lillian, and Luell.
Patty is survived by her son Michael (Julie) Aaser and granddaughter Skyla Pearl, her daughter Pattie Farley (Amalia Litras), sister Astrid Burthold, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services for Patty will be held at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, Texas 77494 on Saturday December 28th at 1:00 PM. The family has requested that any donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Patty’s memory.
