We grew up together and attended the same grade school.  We always had a great time together. As time moved on, so did we. Soon it was a memory I still can remember of our friendship.   So glad she was able to travel to so many places during her life.  Something my husband & I did as well.  Our birthdays were only 10 days apart.

WednesdayFebruary 8, 2017 I lost the absolute love of my life to ALS. A absolutely disgusting disease that robs you of your muscles. Regina had lost her ability to walk, to stand, to sit up by herself, to breathe without a breathing assist machine, had lost most of her use of her right hand, almost lost her voice (could speak very softly) and was starting to have difficulty swallowing. While I am glad she is no longer suffering I hurt so badly for the hurt this caused my family and the loss of my best friend and lover. We have been going out since we were nineteen and married when we were 21. A man could not have found a more loving wife or mother. I do not know how I will get through this but know I have to for my awesome children and grandchildren.

Words can't express how sad we are to lose yet another family member. We never realized what a strong woman Regina was. Her bright smile and laughter covered up her strength to endure that dreaded ALS disease. We always kept a great connection even though many of our years were via telephone. But when she was here in New York, she wanted bagels, Umbertos pizza and devil dogs .
You can take the girl out of  New York, but you can't take the New York out of the girl!!! She loved her family...she and Richie did an amazing job raising them. We enjoyed our visits and hated to have to part and go back to our normal lives.  Regina will always be in our hearts ... till we meet again.xxxxLinda and Ron

Dear Grandma,
I love you and miss you so much!  You were an amazing and inspirational person to me and I want to you to realize that you are my role model in life.

Thank you for making me the happiest granddaughter ever on earth and teaching me how to have a sweet and kind heart.  Thank you for a making my pancakes for breakfast every morning and every time you would drizzle the syrup.  Thank you for making cookies and ice cream with me.  Thank you for coming to watch me dance, even when I was just getting started and not very good.  I will cherish these experiences for as long as I live.

Also, thank you for taking me to my very FIRST trip to Disneyworld and while we had a blast all day long ridding rides and seeing shows, I had a blast sticking my feet close to you in the car where you were yelling smell my sticky feet!   It was one of the best trips ever and I will never forget it!  I wish we were able to take another Disney Trip together, and I am saddened that we won't be able to go together again.   You helped make Disney become my all-time favorite place to go.
Finally, I love you Grandma with all my heart for every single thing you did for me in my life.  I will NEVER, EVER, FORGET you!

Our deepest condolences to Richie and the Weck family.  Regina was a very kind and charitable woman.  My fondest thought of her came from about a year ago.  My son is a Boy Scout, and we came to their house as Richie had told me she really wanted a flag from us to display on the national holidays.  Right away we could see the struggle she had to receive us, but she was most emphatic that she had a flag and that our son would be the only one to do it!  I've no doubt that this act of kindness and support was in no way unusual from Regina and we will remember it and her always.

We are deeply  saddened by the passing of our precious friend Regina. She and her dear husband Richie welcomed us as new friends and traveling companions on a Baltic cruise almost seven years ago and then continued our friendship here in Houston. She was always gracious and fun to be with whether it was dinner, a movie, or shopping. I loved being with Regina and knew I had a sincere, caring friend. 
From the first day my husband and I knew her, it was obvious that her life was dedicated to her loving husband, children, and grandchildren. They were her world -- what an amazing heritage her family will always have because  of her love and devotion. 
Now Regina has gone to her forever home, without the pain and agony of her debilitating ALS.  She leaves us all with memories of love, strength, and courage. We will always hold dear our thoughts of our close friend, Regina. We love you, dear friend.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I am thankful that she was my aunt and we had that time a few years ago.  I loved her and will miss her.  She went out of her way to remind me I was family even if we didn't see each other often.  I will never forget that.  Wish I could be there with you.

When learning of Regina's passing after bravely suffering the indignities ALS imposed on her, the verse from Proverbs 31 immediately came to mind. We will miss our dear cousin,  Regina. Our happy times shared together as children, will last forever as sweet and funny memories. She will always live with us in our hearts. 

We are comforted knowing Regina had a wonderful life on earth filled with love and many blessings, particularly, the beautiful family she and Richie created.  May she rest in peace, reunited with her family in heaven, and forever embraced with love by all who mourn her.

Such a loss of an amazing woman who raised 3 beautiful children and impacted so many peoples lives. I'm holding you all in my heart.

Good bye Mom!  While I mourn your loss and I am crushed you are no longer here with me, I am happy that you are no longer suffering from that incredibly horrendous disease called ALS.  Even though ALS was robbing your abilities to live in the manner you wanted, you handled it with grace and class and you never complained about what you were going though.

What kills me is how fast we lost you.  Only a year ago, we were celebrating Rianna performing in the Houston Ballet Nutcracker.  While you were using a a cane, you were able to walk into the Wortham Theater on your own to watch the performance.  Within the span on a year, you couldn't walk and needed 24/7 care at home.  I will for forever cherish the time we had together and I miss you greatly now!  I wish you didn't have to leave us, but it was not fair for you to continue to suffer the way you were. Thankfully now you are no longer suffering and are finally at peace.

I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER MOM!  THANK YOU FOR RAISING ME AND FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE FOR MY LIFE.  I will never forget you and the life lessons you taught me for the rest of my life.  I pray that you are looking down on us right now, happy and free from all the suffering you endured.

Finally...I promise we will celebrate a 3PM "Happy Hour" in your honor on a regular basis.
