

Silvano was born July 24th, 1960, in Fort Stockton, Texas. He graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1978. Through hard work and determination, he was accepted to Texas Tech University, which was a great feat for those trying times. After a year of school, Silvano returned to Fort Stockton to marry the love of his life Amalia. Silvano soon decided to stay and joined the Fort Stockton Police Department.
With the boom of the West Texas oilfield, Silvano decided to take a chance to better his life and his growing family’s. He was selected, top 10 candidate to work for Exxon, later Exxon Mobil in 1981. He was fortunate to work all over the world, experiencing new and exciting cultures. He would retire after 38 years of hard work.
Although his career was demanding, Silvano always found time to volunteer and be involved in his community. He was on several boards, school, and hospital. He spent most of his evenings coaching his children’s softball and baseball teams. Silvano’s home was always open to his family, and countless kids from the community.
Silvano is preceded in death by his parents Reyes and Hermenia Fuentez. He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Amalia Fuentez of Ft. Stockton, TX; children Ambrosia Fuentez of Ft. Stockton, TX, Alexandra Fuentez of Crane, TX, Monseis and Allyson Fuentez of Ft. Stockton, Crystal and Kevin Pope of Katy, TX, Dominic Lopez of Ft. Stockton, TX, and niece Cassandra and Isaac Chacon of Ft. Stockton, TX; Brothers: Isac Fuentez, Cesar Fuentez; Sisters: Margaret Villa, Delma Barrientos, Jacinta Fuentez, Priscila Fuentez, Elsa Valdez, Lorissa Moreland; and lastly 21 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson.
