

We honor and remember the life of Robert Henderson, a resident of Katy, Texas. Born in Buffalo, New York, he was raised in Long Beach, California, and carried those early influences with him throughout his life. He later graduated from San Diego State University and built a successful career in sales and marketing.
On January 24, 1981, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Robert was united in marriage with the love of his life, Alise Copponex Henderson, with whom he shared 45 devoted years. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and enduring love.
Robert was a man of many interests and gentle talents. He enjoyed woodworking and was well known for his warm smile, generous teddy bear hugs, and enduring sense of humor. He found great joy in reading and playing backgammon on the patio with Alise, often while watching sports, especially LSU football and baseball, or listening to jazz music. He treasured trips to Louisiana and time spent at family gatherings. A loyal companion to his beloved pet Charlie, he also had a fondness for the color blue.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Helen Henderson; his brother Jerry Henderson; his sister and brother in law, Myrna and Jack Dillard; his mother in law and father in law, Alice and Ulrich Copponex; his brothers in law Ulrich Copponex Jr., Edward Copponex, Calvin Copponex, and Audry Rome; his sisters in law Joyce Rome and Charleen Copponex Lambert; his nephew Raymond Rome; and his niece Tricia Copponex.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Alise Henderson; his son, Rob Henderson; his stepdaughter, Angela Till; and his stepson, Bobby Poirrier Jr. and wife Elizabeth. He is also survived by his grandchildren Aubrey Zabin and husband Hamza, Mandy Till, and Adam Till and wife Liz Whalen; his great granddaughter Lacie Albin; his sister Donna Kinney and husband Mike; his sisters in law Carol Lambert, Jane Copponex, and Patricia Copponex; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert’s life was marked by devotion to family, quiet kindness, and an unwavering love for those closest to him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
