Sandra Kay Hopton, 73, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at her home in Katy, TX. She was born on December 18, 1942 in Waynesboro, MS to Houston and Mary Frances Palmer. She is survived by her husband, Ron Hopton and her two children, Steve Jenkins of Raymond, MS; and Monique Garner of Katy, TX. Other children by marriage are Ron Hopton, Jr., Lee Hopton and Randal Patterson. She is also survived by three brothers: Virgil Palmer, James Palmer and Tommy Palmer, all of Waynesboro, MS. She has 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother, Don Palmer, and her two sisters, Shirley Palmer Whittington and Jan Palmer Sanoff; and her step-daughter Elaine Orman. Sandra was known as a friend to all who knew her. She loved spending time with family, especially all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed!
