Shirley Tait Inman

Shirley Tait Inman was born on August 1, 1932 and went home to her Lord on February 14, 2022, after a long and fulfilling life, surrounded by her family. Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Dr. Thomas Carroll Inman, Sr., whom she met and fell in love with while attending Texas Christian University, and her parents, Robert H. and Thaddeus L. Tait.

She is survived by sons, Dr. Thomas Inman, Jr. and significant other Angela Krog, Bruce Inman and wife Jenny, daughter, Anne and husband Craig Richard, grandchildren Thomas Inman III and significant other Kristina Adourian, Ryan Inman, Abigail Inman and significant other Brayten Kubecka, and Anastasia Inman and significant other Austin LeFevre., brothers Robert H. Tait, Jr. and wife Nancy, Charles L. Tait and wife Marcia Ann and many nieces and nephews, their children and children’s children.

Shirley lived a life of service managing her husband’s dental practice, for over 46 years, and serving first as city councilman and then later as mayor of Bunker Hill Village. She was admired and a source of inspiration to her children and grandchildren alike. She will be missed but her legacy of love will endure for generations to come.

Final remembrances will be held at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, TX on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
