I was an elementary school classmate of Taylor’s. He popped into my head and I suddenly wondered where life had taken him. This was not what I wanted to find. As a young classmate, Taylor was outgoing and kind. Kids were often cruel to him. And so were teachers. He felt emotions very strongly. I think about him a lot because I hope life was good to him after school. I don’t know what happened, but I hope he is resting well. God bless him and his family.

Dearest Steve, we are so sorry to hear of Taylor's passing and our deepest condolences to you and your family.  Words are never adequate in moments like these. We will say though, that our hearts go out to you and your family.  God bless.

I have only just heard the sad news about Taylor.  Know that your friends at Eagle are so sorry about your loss, and send you, your wife,  and your family our love and prayers at this difficult time.  From the beautiful pictures and the comments in this book, it is obvious that Taylor was and is well loved.  Peace be with you, my old friend.

Although I never got to hold a full conversation with Taylor, he always managed to say hello to me and ask me how my day was going. The simple gestures that Taylor made with all the students is what I'm going to miss the most. Taylor was truly one of a kind. He will be my source of inspiration throughout the rest of my nursing education. In Taylor's remembrance,we (his classmates) have placed white ribbons on our backpacks. Thank you for the smiles, Taylor. You will be dearly missed.

Taylor, let me once again for your prayers and hope your heaven, no more pain and suffering!

We are so sorry that we have not been in touch with you for a long time.But sometimes we talk about you and Taylor. We still remember the last time we saw Taylor at Chicago Airport on our way back to China. Taylor and Kristen had a great time talking and laughing on the airplane. Sometimes we look at the pictures of Kristen and Taylor and joke with Kristen how cute Taylor was. We never forgot him. He was a great kid and he will always be remembered. At this sad moment, we share our thoughts and prayers with you.

He never hesitated to wave hello and greet me  with a huge smile, even if I was just passing by our lockers.  He was so smart, so polite, and so loving. Dear Steve,
Jim and I put this day to rest with Taylor in the center of our hearts. We love the photos, and it's so obvious how you, your wife, Peter and extended family filled his life with love, support and many adventures. I believe my favorite photo is the one of Taylor and Peter in their blue shirts, seated together and sharing a great smile and connection as brothers. Our prayer will be that when you recall memories and stories fostered by these photos, that however bittersweet the emotions may be, they will bring comfort to your hearts that Taylor was well loved, and hopefully this will sustain you. Taylor was a beautiful person: inside and out. I had the pleasure of meeting your son during orientation at UTHealth and sitting next to him in lecture. I will miss his smile, jokes, and, most of all, his kindness. There are no words to express what lasting impression your son has left on me. He was an honest, good hearted man who never failed to put a smile on my face. He was bright, full of enthusiasm, and always had an eagerness to learn. Taylor was in my Health Assessment class. That smiling face was what I always saw.  He was polite, bright and eager to learn. I know that no words can take away your pain.  I pray for the repose of Taylor's soul and that   you will eventually find solace from your pain.

Taylor was such a friendly person, always had a smile on his face, and was always eager to learn. I wish I would've been able to spend more time with him and I can't even begin to explain how going to classes and no longer seeing him will be truly heartbreaking. Taylor will be greatly missed and forever in my heart.

Taylor always sat in front during lectures. He was attentive, eager to ask and answer questions. I am going to miss his beautiful smile and saying hi to me whenever I see him. He is going to be greatly missed!

Taylor was a brilliant young man with a beautiful spirit. The very first day I met him, I remember that great, big smile on his face.  He was very welcoming and from then on, he always said "Hello" wherever I saw him. He was kind and friendly to everyone around him and I will always remember and admire that about him. Taylor always said hello to me at school. He had the most brightest smile on his face and he never failed to make me laugh. He was welcoming and loved to start conversations. Mr and Mrs Cao,I have no words to share that can convey my sorrow for your loss. I will instead tell you about the kid who I met the second day of nursing school. Taylor was amazing, full of kindness, enthusiasm, and a genuinely nice person. He never hesitated to talk to anyone, and as far as I can remember there was never a question that the teacher asked and he did not know the answer to, even if at times he only answered under his breath. You raised an outstanding young man who I will miss very much. It will be difficult to turn back in my seat expecting Taylor to be there with his ready smile and not find him there. I am thankful for having known him even if it was such a brief time. I will cherish all the memories I have of him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Taylor was always smiling, and that is what I will remember most about him. I will never forget the time when he came to me and said "Hey, where do you sit?" Although I didn't get to spend much time with Taylor, I can definitely say he was friendly and always carried a smile on his face, and for someone like him to go so soon is saddening. He will be missed. My sincere condolences and prayers go out to Mr. and Mrs. Cao and rest of Taylor's family. You will be missed Taylor.

I had the pleasure of being in clinical with Taylor. He was always very curious and had a love of learning. I don't think I ever saw Taylor in a bad mood, and he lifted my spirits after long days at the hospital.

Taylor loved to tell stories and listen to the interesting stories of others. He was friendly and kind, and I always appreciated his genuine love of conversation and discussion. He will be missed.

I am so grateful to have known Taylor and so wish I had more time with him. Taylor was an enthusiastic and respectful student. Ending this semester without him has distressed so many of us. I am so saddened by his death and hope his family, friends, and classmates find comfort and strength in the days to come. All my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Taylor was one of the first people I met at UT Nursing School. We were both new nursing students. He had a bright smile and was so friendly it warmed my heart. Taylor is someone that even though I only knew him for a short time he made a huge impression. My prayers are with his family.
