Theresa “Terry” Garcia, 50, of Katy, Texas, passed away on April 2, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Terry was born July 8, 1971, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Arturo & Rosie Garcia. She was the youngest of 6 children. The family ventured to Texas and Terry settled in Katy, TX where she lived with her son and his family until her untimely passing.
Terry was a joy to have around, she loved to make people laugh. She loved spending time with family and we all know she definitely loved a good party!
Her favorite past time was watching games shows, of which her favorite was Wheel of Fortune. 90% of the time she solved the puzzle before the actual contestants. She loved yelling at them when they got the answer wrong. Her heart was so big, she would give anything to anyone in need. She always took friends and turned them into family.
Terry was always the mothering kind. While she only had one son biologically, she always took in his friends and called them hers. She would say how proud she was of all of her kids, regardless of genetics. Guicho, Josh, Kenneth, Mike, Tony & Brayan were always in her heart and thoughts, even as they grew up and had families of their own. Terry loved them all dearly and spoke of them often. Everyone in her life has been deeply impacted by her passing and though, it hurts, her love will heal us all in time and Her memory will live on strong in our hearts.
Terry was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Albert Garcia & Emilia Medrando-Nieto; maternal grandparents, Frank Reney & Marie Haggstrom-Reney; and her Mother, Rose Reney-Garcia.
Terry leaves behind her father, Arturo Garcia; her son Michael, his wife Ashley & their 7 children, Alison, Mike (Rere), Riley, Killian, Charlee, Leia, Luke; her siblings, Yvonne Cruz, Betsy Garcia, Cindy Montenegro, Albert Garcia; their children, Paul Kimberly, Christine, Valerie, Amber, Lindsey, Anthony, Christopher; as well as their children & a host of cousins, family, & friends.
