Valerie Martinez

She was born in Houston, Texas to Domingo Martinez and Doris Mahaffey, and was a longtime resident of Houston. Valerie graduated from Sharpstown High School and enjoyed vacationing, going out and spending time with her family and friends. She worked in the dental field starting in high school and throughout her life.

Valerie was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Martinez and paternal grandparents, Santos and Guadalupe Martinez.

Valerie is survived by her children, Angela and Thomas Munoz; parents, George and Doris Mahaffey; sister Claudia Martinez and husband Marcos Jimenez; sister, Amy and husband Stephen Mikolajczak; brother, John and wife, Brooke Mahaffey; nephews, Xavier Jimenez, Charlie Mahaffey, Max Mahaffey; nieces, Ina Mikolajczak and Birdie Mahaffey; grandmother, Avelina Hernandez; step grandfather, Alton Mahaffey; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.

She was a great mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
