My condolences go out to you, your family, the Family all across England, your daughters, the grandchildren and your friends.  I was shocked upon learning of Vanessa's passing.   You and she had fought so hard over the last few years in hopes of a successful outcome over the major and minor illnesses invading Ms V.   I recall all the discussions we have had over the past two decades and Vanessa was always a part of your stories on Monday mornings.  I knew from those discussions Ms V was an integral part of your weekend, your life and she was obviously your soul mate.  I recall so many of the stories you shared on Monday mornings that would conclude with a story of you sitting nearby and supervising Ms V while she washed your truck or mowed the grass and of course included your pointing out a spot in the grass she had missed or a spot on the truck which needed further action on her part to correct.   You always gleaned with joy when talking about the weekends spending quality time with Family, Friends, and Ms V.  They were obviously a realistic and personable reflection of the weekend but in closing you most certainly would embellish them with a truck wash or lawn mowing by Ms V.    Please accept my condolences for your loss.

Our deepest condolences to Don and family. Vanessa was a huge part of our neighborhood "family" and of so many fond memories we will never forget. We are grateful to have known such an amazingly generous, kind and talented woman.

My friend, Aftter knowing you for over two decades and learning each week how important Vanessa was to you, her family in England, the girls, the grandchildren, your many friends  and all of your neighbors she will forever be so missed by all.  Be comforted in the fact that everyone who knew her or listened to the excitement when you talked about Ms V each week will forever know and remember the stories.  I will always remember each week as you talked about  your weekend how often she washed your truck and mowed the grass while you sat, supervised her every moment and let her know how she missed a spot on the truck or left a bit of grass uncut.  You will miss her tremendously and for these times and all of the real and great times.   God be with and comfort you and all those whose lives she touched.  Vanessa will make a superb Angel in the house of the Lord.   Let me know if there is anything I can do to help ease your suffering.  My prayers are with you.

We've lost a kind and generous neighbor and friend.  Beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and wife,she was a talented artist and crafter and was admired by all who knew her. I will never forget her spirit and her courage.  Condolences to her family here and in England.
