He was one of the sweetest and wisest men I ever knew. I had the pleasure of meeting him shortly after graduating high school in 1991. He taught me to be a pharmacy technician, but he taught me so much more than that and he made an impact that resonates to this day. I haven’t seen or heard from him since the late 90’s, but I went looking for him today, to say thank you for teaching me to be a pharmacy technician, but I found this and my heart sank. I can only imagine the legacy he left. He was as good as they come.

Godspeed Coach Whitted. I will treasure and never forget the lessons you taught me about sportsmanship, being part of a team and competing with honor. I still remember taking a knee to field a ground ball and your batting signs from the dugout. More importantly, I remember your kindness and patience. I'll always be proud to be on your team.

What sadness I felt when we heard of Davis,s passing. I've never known a more kind, compassionate person. As our pharmacist  when we moved to silsbee 40 plus years ago,he was a friend from the start. Come out from behind that counter and explain the pros and cons of that med you were concerned. I have missed that wonderful family and pray Gods loviing peace surround each of you.if we could return some of the kindness he showed. Love all of you
