Ann Whittaker Blake

She was born in Keene, NH, August 5, 1936, the daughter of William and Irene (Whittaker) Bemis. She was a 1955 graduate of Keene High School.

Mrs. Blake worked for over ten years in the assembly department of MPB Corporation in Keene. She was also an excellent housekeeper and extended that trait, providing housekeeping services to others in the area, for many years.

She enjoyed traveling and camping. She also enjoyed knitting and cooking. She was a very outgoing person and a very hard worker. Her favorite pastime was time spent with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She also had a special love for animals, especially cats.

She is survived by her three children, William O. Blake and his wife, Michelle, of Hudson, NH, Daleann Blake-Childs of Hillsborough, NH, Kellie R. Holland and her husband, Donald, of Stoddard, NH; four grandchildren, Nicole Blake, Cameron Blake, Megan Holland, Donald “DJ” Holland; two sisters, Billie Manchester of Keene, Jackie Moran of Nashua, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years, Dale E. Blake in 1993; a daughter, Belinda Blake who died as a toddler; a brother, Bradley Bemis; and a son-in-law, Bob Childs in 2011.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 6:00PM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH. Burial in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene, will be private. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home.
