Archibald Archie R Humphrey

He was born on November 24, 1934, in Chesterfield, the youngest son of Frederick C. and Agnes (Davis) Humphrey and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1953 graduate of Keene High School.

He married Elizabeth Spear, in a ceremony at St. James Episcopal Church, on August 6, 1954.

He recently retired from Arthur Whitcomb, Inc. as a Sales manager, having started out driving a mixer truck, after 50+ years with the company.

As a member of the Keene Country Club, he enjoyed his time on the Greens with his friends; he was also a Life member of the Keene ELKS Lodge #927.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth S Humphrey of Keene; his three sons: Michael Humphrey and his wife Lia of Nantucket, MA., James Humphrey and his wife Charlotte of Chattanooga, TN., and Darren Humphrey of Stamford, CT. as well as six grandchildren: Madison, Maria and Michael Humphrey, Jr. of Nantucket and Michael, Stephen and Madeline Humphrey of Stamford, CT. He was predeceased by his brothers.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday at the Chesterfield West Cemetery in West Chesterfield, at 11:00 am. Calling Hours will be held Thursday evening at the Fletcher Funeral Home from 5:00 until 7:00.
