Bernice Clark

She was born May 8, 1924 in Leominster, MA, the daughter of Luigi and Adeline (Salvatore) DiGiovanni. She was a 1942 graduate of Leominster High School.

Mrs. Clark was very devoted to the community in which she lived: working as a volunteer at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene for more that thirty years. She was also a member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit and was an active member of Ladies of St. Anne. She was also a member of the League of Woman Voters and of the Keene Country Club.

Her greatest passion was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to this she enjoyed golf, bowling, playing bridge and especially gardening. She also deeply treasured her many friends.

She is survived by her son Peter M. Clark of Keene, NH, her daughter: Mary Elizabeth “Betsy” Burke of Flint Hill, VA., five grandchildren: Aaron M. Clark, Kathryn Mae Clark, Alana Cloud, Morgan Cloud and Austen Cloud, her brother: Louis DiGiovanni of Leominster, MA., her former daughter-in-law: Judith Clark of Keene, NH and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is predeceased by her husband of 46-years: Robert M. Clark, Jr. and her brother: Emilio DiGiovanni.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at 10:00am at St. Bernard Church, 185 Main Street Keene, NH. Burial will following in the Woodland Cemetery in Keene.
