Constance Ruth Cleverly Sheehan 95, a longtime resident of Sullivan, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 22, 2018 at The Elms Center in Milford, NH, surrounded by members of her loving family.
Constance “Connie” was born on July 16, 1923, in Hull, MA, the daughter of Merton A. and Elizabeth K. (Banks) Cleverly.
Prior to moving to Sullivan, NH in 1978, Connie resided in Quincy, MA where she worked for many years as a registered nurse, caring for patients in nursing care facilities and in private homes. While in Sullivan, she continued to work as an RN at the Westwood Center in Keene until her retirement at the age of 75. She subsequently moved to Keene where she lived until becoming a resident of The Elms Center in 2014.
Connie enjoyed visits with her family, dining out, reading, puzzles and bingo. Among other things, she will be remembered for her independence, her devotion to her family and for the wonderful food that come from her kitchen.
She was a member of the Sullivan United Congregational Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael Sheehan and his wife, Gayle, of Randolph, MA, Mark Sheehan and his wife, Barb, of New Boston, NH; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore Sheehan; daughter, Pam Foley; and grandson, Michael Foley.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 1:00PM in the Sullivan Center Cemetery, Church Street, Sullivan. Rev. Christopher Cornell, Pastor of the Sullivan United Congregational Church will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
