He was born in Berlin, NH, September 9, 1960, the son of Robert and Theresa (Torro) Landry. He grew up in Berlin, graduating from Berlin High School in 1978.
David completed his undergraduate work at Keene State College in 1983, and later completed his Master’s in International Management in 1988 from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.
Dave spent several successful years working in Marketing and eventually Supply Chain at Markem Corporation, now Markem Imaje. He became Vice President of Global Sourcing for the Product ID Group. In 2011, Dave joined the Dover Engineered Systems team, the parent company of Markem Imaje, to lead all Supply Chain activities. He was a true global leader working extensively in Europe and Asia which included a 4-year assignment in Japan. Earlier this year, Dave accepted an assignment in Milan, Italy to work Dover’s new acquisition, MS Printing Solutions as Integration Director. Unfortunately, Dave became ill as he and his wife, Martha, prepared for the transition.
In July of this year, after living and working in the Chicago area for the last three years, he returned to his home town of Keene.
He was very active within the Monadnock United Way, assuming most every volunteer role in the organization beginning as a loaned employee for the 1983/84 campaign. He later assumed roles as Account Executive, Team Captain, Division Chair for multiple campaigns, and finally as General Campaign Chair in 1997/1998. He also served as Pacesetter Chair and then for numerous years, he was in charge of loaned employee’s recruiting. He was a member of the Board of Directors and as well as Board Chair, and served on the Development Committee for many years.
Dave loved and embraced where he came from and always returned to Berlin and Keene to stay in touch with friends and his extended family. His love for cars, New England sports teams and his dog, Ellie, was always present. Dave’s most treasured passions in life were the special moments shared with his wife, children, and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Martha (Matson) Landry of Keene; their daughter, Hannah Landry of Keene, and his children Paige Landry of Tampa, FL, Jack Landry and Nicolas Landry, both of Keene, and their mother, Robin (Stillings) Dubois of Surry, NH; his parents, Theresa and Robert Landry of Keene; two sisters, Carole Janson and her husband, Paul, of Birchrunville, PA, Lynn Jenkins and her husband, Brian, of Keene; mother-in-law, Catherine Matson of Keene; brother-in-law, Alexander Matson and his wife, Nancy, of Roxbury, NH; sister-in-law, Patricia Kendall and her husband, Doug, of Spofford, NH; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Alexander Matson, Sr.
A funeral service will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 10:00AM in the United Church of Christ, 23 Central Square, Keene. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of David’s life, Sunday, November 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Stonewall Farm, 242 Chesterfield Road, Keene.
