

He was born in Stamford, CT, on March 9, 1936, the son of Henry and Bernice (Karbowski) Sienkiewicz. He was a 1954 graduate of Stamford High School.
In 1957 he enlisted in the United States Naval Reserves, and was called to Active Duty in 1961. After an Honorable discharge, in 1962, he returned to Stamford where the he was the co-owner and gunsmith for the Village Sport Shop for many years.
On April 8, 1967 he married Mary Ellen Arnow, at the Turn of River Church in Stamford. A few weeks ago they celebrated their 49th anniversary.
In 1967 he began working for Remington Arms Co., Inc. retiring from their Research & Development and Marketing Departments, in 1993. From 1993 until 2007 he remained a consultant to the Firearms Industry.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting the shooting sports and carpentry.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Ellen Sienkiewicz of Westmoreland; a brother: Rodney Sienkiewicz of ME; three sisters in law: Joan Sienkiewicz of CT, Geraldine Iliff of NH and Lorraine McLean of CT and a brother in law: Patrick Arnow of MA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by both parents as well as a brother: Henry R. Sienkiewicz.
Services for Mr. Sienkiewicz will be held, at the Fletcher Funeral Home, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the NH State veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH, at 1:00 pm. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening, May 3, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
